In brief
A half-day to step back… and take action
On December 3, 2025, at Wavestone’s Paris offices, around fifty clients and experts gathered for an afternoon entirely dedicated to the key challenges of Identity & Access Management (open in a new tab).
In a context shaped by the acceleration of digital uses, tightening regulations, and the emergence of new technologies (AI, identity wallets, post-quantum cryptography, etc.), the objective was clear: take a step back to anticipate upcoming transformations, while leaving with concrete keys to take action today.
This half-day was structured around complementary highlights:
- A vision keynote to project IAM toward 2030
- 4 thematic workshops fostering peer exchanges and experience sharing
- 3 exclusive demos showcasing the impact of AI on IAM
- Networking moments, encouraging open discussion
IAM 2030: vision, roadmap and execution
The opening keynote set the tone: IAM is entering a new era.
In the face of growing demands around security, compliance and user experience, and within a rapidly evolving technology ecosystem, the IAM landscape in 2030 will look radically different.
Wavestone shared its key convictions on how to orchestrate this transformation:
- Rethinking IAM governance and engaging all stakeholders
- Strengthening IAM’s visibility and business value across the organization
- Prioritizing the right topics, from NHI to post-quantum cryptography (PQC)
This vision was brought to life through the presentation of a new Wavestone accelerator, designed to help organizations structure and drive their IAM 2030 roadmap in a pragmatic way.
Workshops to explore the major IAM challenges
How can you build strong foundations for an effective Zero Trust strategy?
This workshop highlighted the central role of IAM as a structuring pillar of the Zero Trust model. Best practices, key success factors and real-world feedback helped participants identify concrete levers to accelerate their journey.
On one side, the promise of a passwordless world; on the other, a new way to manage and share identity. Competitors or complements? The discussions allowed participants to compare these approaches, understand their strengths and limitations, and explore possible convergence scenarios.
Often underestimated, change management is actually a key success factor for IAM programs. This workshop provided very practical answers: what to communicate, when, and how to engage users in a sustainable way. Two international client testimonials further enriched the discussions with hands-on experience.
At a time when fraud is skyrocketing (open in a new tab), driven in particular by AI and the digitization of user journeys, how can security be strengthened without harming the user experience? Participants explored IAM levers (strong authentication, wallets, orchestration, advanced detection) and key recommendations by industry.
AI x IAM: insights and hands-on demonstrations
The event was also an opportunity to share Wavestone’s vision of AI’s impact on the IAM landscape, before diving into unique demos presented in small groups to encourage discussions around real-world use cases:
- Smart Identity Analyzer: AI supporting identity quality and IAM governance
- AI & O365: when IAM becomes a key lever for securing AI usage
- Deepfake Demonstrator: understanding how AI can threaten IAM… and how to protect against it
Thanks to all our participants
This half-day was designed as a dedicated space for discussion, to jointly explore the major transitions in IAM and share insights grounded in real-world experience.
We warmly thank all participants for the richness of the exchanges and their engagement, and we look forward to welcoming them again at the next edition.
