Biography of Astrid Blechschmidt
Astrid Blechschmidt studied business administration at the Munich University of Applied Sciences and has more than 25 years of experience in IT and management consulting.
She began her professional career as an IT consultant in the mobility, transport and logistics industry. In 2010, she took over as Head of Travel, Transport & Logistics at T-Systems Switzerland, a Deutsche Telekom company. Three years later, she was appointed CEO of T-Systems Data Migration Consulting AG – a specialized consulting firm of Deutsche Telekom in Switzerland.
Astrid Blechschmidt has been a partner at Wavestone (formerly Q_PERIOR) since 2016. In this role, she is responsible for Travel, Transport & Logistics, is a member of the global Wavestone Topic Leader team for digitalization in the rail sector and is a guest lecturer at the Munich University of Applied Sciences. She was also appointed to NUON.CONSULTING’s Advisory Board in 2024.
Her expertise lies in particular in the areas of business development, sales and digital transformation. With her many years of experience, she not only shapes strategic customer initiatives, but also actively promotes the further development of colleagues. As the person responsible for the sales curriculum at Wavestone, she shapes the transfer of knowledge in sales, advocates for diversity and equal opportunities as part of the Diversity & Inclusion Initiative and accompanies the promotion process of new associate partners and partners as an ambassador.
