Biography of Bernd Wegmann

Bernd Wegmann is a Senior Manager Cyber Security at Wavestone Germany and leads the topics of Zero Trust and Digital Identity across the DACH region. He advises organizations on the development of modern security strategies and supports them in implementing sustainable cyber security transformations. His areas of expertise include Identity & Access Management, Zero Trust, and the implementation of regulatory requirements.

With many years of experience in consulting and IT, he supports organizations throughout the entire transformation journey, from analyzing regulatory and business requirements to designing key security solutions and ensuring their successful implementation and integration into operational processes. He combines technological expertise with a deep understanding of governance, risk management, and business needs.

For Bernd Wegmann, sustainable cyber security is achieved when regulatory requirements, technological innovation, and business value are consistently considered together. His goal is to create security solutions that strengthen trust and support organizations throughout their digital transformation.

Before joining Wavestone, he worked for various consulting and technology companies, gaining extensive experience in cyber security, technology architecture, and program management. He studied IT and Software Systems at Dortmund University of Applied Sciences and Arts and subsequently earned a Master of Science in IT Management from FOM University of Applied Sciences for Economics and Management. He is also a Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP).
