Biography of Cédric Baecher
Cédric Baecher is a Partner at Wavestone, specializing in sustainability, business strategy and transformation. With over 25 years of international consulting experience, he helps organizations navigate major economic, technological and environmental transitions, leveraging sustainability and innovation as drivers of business performance and competitiveness.
Cédric joined Wavestone in 2022 following the integration of Nomadéis, a pioneering consulting firm in sustainability and international cooperation that he co-founded in 2002 and led for nearly 20 years.
Over the course of his career, Cédric has led strategic assignments in more than 70 countries, working with leading corporations, public institutions, and international organizations. His expertise spans environmental and social performance, climate strategy, innovation ecosystems, inclusive growth and digital transformation, enabling him to support executives in addressing complex economic, technological and environmental challenges.
Beyond his consulting work, Cédric contributes actively to international dialogue and policymaking on sustainability, innovation and global transitions. He has been an expert for the European Commission on climate, energy and innovation topics for over a decade. He is also a Fellow of several international leadership programs, including the United Nations Alliance of Civilizations, the Aspen Institute, the American Swiss Foundation and the Council for the United States and Italy. He is a National Auditor of the French Institute for Advanced Studies in National Defence (IHEDN) and the French National Institute for Labour, Employment and Vocational Training (INTEFP).
Cédric is also a government-appointed French Foreign Trade Advisor and a citizen reservist with the French Navy, reflecting his commitment to contributing to public debate and collective action on strategic, economic and societal challenges.
