Cyril Baechler is a dynamic professional with a strong foundation in Sales and Business Development across the Finance, Retail, and Luxury sectors. He currently drives strategic growth at Wavestone Switzerland in the Geneva Metropolitan Area, where he supports organizations in navigating complex, high-impact transformations, particularly within the luxury industry.
He holds a strong academic background, having earned both a Bachelor’s and a Master’s degree in Business Management from the prestigious University of St. Gallen (HSG). His academic journey was further enriched by two exchange semesters at HEC Lausanne and in San Diego, California, after which he chose to remain in California for a year to work in the luxury real estate market in Los Angeles, prior to the COVID-19 pandemic.
Cyril is fluent in French, English, and German, enabling him to operate seamlessly in international and multicultural business environments. Bringing together corporate consulting expertise and entrepreneurial experience, Cyril adopts a pragmatic, results-driven approach to Sales and Business Development. At Wavestone, he focuses on developing and managing strategic accounts in the luxury sector, identifying growth opportunities, building long-term client relationships, and supporting clients in the design and execution of transformative initiatives that generate measurable value.
Prior to consulting, he spent over three years in a leadership role at BEBO Health SA in Geneva, where he demonstrated strong capabilities in business development, growth strategy, and go-to-market execution within the Fast-Moving Consumer Goods (FMCG) and retail space. He also played a key role in preparing for and executing the company’s IPO on Euronext Access Paris, working closely with the listing sponsor and contributing to key documentation, investor relations, and strategic positioning.
In parallel with his academic and professional path, Cyril completed one year of Swiss military service, an experience that further strengthened his discipline, leadership under pressure, accountability, and commitment to collective performance.
In addition to his business career, Cyril has a high-level athletic background. He pursued a competitive career in basketball, representing the Swiss national team and participating in multiple European and World Championships.
