Biography of Melchior Dörflinger
Melchior Dörflinger joined Wavestone in Switzerland as a Manager in the Cyber Security practice. He is known for his structured, analytical approach and his ability to advise senior stakeholders on complex cyber security, regulatory and governance challenges in highly regulated environments.
Melchior Dörflinger holds a Bachelor of Laws and a Master of Business Law with a strong focus on technology, information security and regulatory frameworks. He is a certified ISO/IEC 27001 Lead Auditor and Lead Implementer and has built a strong professional background at the inter-section of cyber security, IT governance and regulatory compliance.
Before joining Wavestone, Melchior gained extensive consulting experience at leading professional services firms, where he advised organisations across the public sector, banking, energy, industrial and critical infrastructure domains. Throughout his career, he has led and delivered complex IT and OT security projects, including the design, implementation and assessment of Information Security Management Systems (ISMS) based on ISO/IEC 27001 and BSI IT-Grundschutz, cyber maturity assessments, OT security initiatives and regulatory compliance programmes.
At Wavestone, Melchior focuses on CISO advisory, cyber resilience and information security governance. He regularly supports organisations in structuring security decision processes, translating regulatory requirements into practical measures and providing clear, decision-oriented insights for senior stakeholders.
