Biography of Tim Frech

Tim Frech is an Associate Partner at Wavestone in Zurich, where he supports companies in digital transformation and business strategy initiatives.

He brings extensive experience from management consulting as well as from industrial companies, with a particular focus on value creation optimization, supply chain management, and production systems.

In parallel with his consulting work, Tim is engaged as a lecturer at the University of Applied Sciences and Arts Northwestern Switzerland (FHNW), where he teaches digital strategy as part of the CAS “Digital Industry” program. In addition, he serves as a board member of the Logistics Network Switzerland (VNL), contributing his expertise at a strategic level.
Previously, Tim spent several years at UNITY Consulting & Innovation, most recently as Head of Business Unit, where he led transformation programs and efficiency initiatives. He began his professional career in research and teaching at the Laboratory for Machine Tools and Production Engineering (WZL) at RWTH Aachen University, as well as in industry, giving him a strong blend of academic depth and practical implementation expertise.
